The differences between the two things

Generally speaking , advertising includes all promotional efforts made by a company with the goal of selling more goods or services in order for it to remain competitive with its rivals in the market. Marketing on the other hand focuses more on satisfying customer needs better than competitors, thus making sales through repeat customers who are satisfied with the product or service.

The main difference is that advertising can be done without marketing, but marketing cannot be done without advertising.
